We do not sell your data. We do not use your contacts for advertising. Your contacts stay on your mobile device unless you choose to enable Google synchronization.
Information You Add
Blood Contacts may store donor names, phone numbers, blood groups, areas, availability notes, optional contact photos, and blood need/request activity that you enter in the app.
Local Storage by Default
Your contact data is stored on your mobile device by default. Blood Contacts does not upload your contact list to our own server.
Optional Google Synchronization
If you authorize Google Drive sync, the app may back up and restore your Blood Contacts data using your Google account. Sync is optional and requires your permission.
Google OAuth, Scope, and Permissions
When you choose to connect Google Drive, Blood Contacts uses Google Sign-In and requests only the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This scope is used only to create, read, and update Blood Contacts backup files in your Google Drive for backup and restore.
Android permissions used by the app are Contacts read/write permissions to help you import donors from phone contacts and optionally save contacts back to your phone. The app does not request broad photo-library permissions for gallery access and uses the system picker flow for user-selected images.
How Data Is Used
Your data is used to organize donor contacts, search by blood group or area, track blood needs or requests, and coordinate faster communication during urgent situations.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your contact data with advertisers. Data is shared only when you choose to contact someone, share information, or enable optional Google Drive sync.
Your Choices
- You can keep data stored only on your mobile device.
- You can authorize Google synchronization for backup and restore.
- You can remove contacts or request entries from the app when they are no longer needed.
Security
We aim to keep the app simple and privacy-focused. You should also protect your mobile device with a passcode, biometric lock, or other device security features.
